Wipe the board with a slightly damp cloth (mild soapy water is okay), then wipe it dry immediately. Never immerse the board in water or place it in the dishwasher, as excessive moisture can cause cracking or warping.

No. Do not place your board in the dishwasher or microwave. These appliances can damage the wood and reduce the board’s lifespan.

Apply a coat of our Snow River Wood Oil, or a food-grade mineral oil or wood conditioner, to all wood surfaces every 3–5 uses, or whenever the board looks dry. Let the oil soak in, then wipe off any excess.

Lightly sand the surface with fine sandpaper, then reapply mineral oil to restore its smooth finish and natural luster.

No. Do not place the board over a hot stove, heating element, or in contact with any hot surface, as this may damage or warp the wood.

Store your board in a dry area. Avoid storing it in or on top of a sink, or anywhere it may come into contact with standing water or damp cloths.

  • Always use a clean cutting board.
  • If possible, use separate boards for fresh produce and raw meat, poultry, or seafood.
  • Replace cutting boards that become excessively worn or develop deep grooves that are difficult to clean.
